Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a highly motivated Fire Sprinkler Designer / Project Manager to join our growing Fire Protection team.

This role designs, coordinates, and executes fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional projects. The candidate will create code-compliant layouts using AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK, perform hydraulic calculations, develop fabrication drawings and material lists, and coordinate with stakeholders from design through

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline required or equivalent experience.
• Fire protection design experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• AutoCAD, Revit and/or Hydratec experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of Fire Sprinkler systems.
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents and construction drawings.
• Plan, coordinate, and present information to individuals and groups.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis.
• Develop relationships with customers for satisfaction.
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK.
• BIM modeling and field surveying responsibilities.
• Prepare fabrication lists and coordinate trades.
