Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer for a direct hire in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on producing sprinkler layouts, hydraulic calculations, field surveys, and fabrication listings for industrial, commercial, and mixed-use residential projects.

You will collaborate with a design team, coordinate with other trades, and assist with BIM modeling. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of fire sprinkler design experience, proficiency with SprinkCAD, and NICET

Qualifications

• Design and layout fire sprinkler systems for multiple project types.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare fabrication listings.
• Coordinate design work with internal teams, field staff, and other trades.
• Support field surveying and BIM coordination as needed.
• 3 to 5 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Experience using SprinkCAD design software.
• Knowledge of fire protection system design, layouts, hydraulic calculations, and fabrication documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and project specifications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-based design environment.

Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler system layouts for industrial, commercial, and mixed-use residential projects.
• Perform hydraulic calculations to support compliant and efficient fire protection designs.
• Conduct field surveys and gather accurate project information for design development.
• Prepare fabrication listings and coordinate design details for production and installation.
• Coordinate with other trades to resolve design conflicts and support project schedules.
• Assist with BIM modeling and design coordination as needed.
