Job summary

gpac partners with an established fire protection and life safety contractor that is seeking a proven Sprinkler Designer to join a growing team with a strong culture and career growth focus.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, NICET Level I+ in Water-Based Systems, and proficiency in AutoCAD, HydraCAD or AutoSPRINK, with knowledge of NFPA codes. Willingness to travel and strong communication are required to design and document systems for commercial and residential projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience
• NICET Level I or higher in Water-Based Systems
• Demonstrated ability with AutoCAD, HydraCAD or AutoSPRINK
• Must know NFPA codes
• Must be self-motivated and work well with others
• Detail oriented and organized with great communication skills
• Ability to travel to job sites and attend meetings when necessary

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection systems for commercial and residential buildings
• Produce detailed drawings and hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler and fire pump systems
• Perform field surveys
• Communicate with contractors and subcontractors to gather documentation
