Job summary

Firetrol is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to create design drawings and calculations for permitting and construction across various facilities. Proficiency with AutoSprink and BIM Navisworks coordination is required. The ideal candidate will have NICET Level 3 in Water-Based System Layout.

The role involves coordinating with the Design Manager, performing hydraulic calculations, reviewing drawings, and participating in site surveys to ensure accurate, code-compliant installations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
• Competent math ability.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce fire protection design drawings and calculations for permitting and construction.
• Coordinate designs with BIM Navisworks and architect/engineer teams.
• Perform hydraulic calculations as required.
• Review design drawings prior to fabrication and submittal.
• Attend site visits and project meetings as needed.
• Ensure designs meet engineer requirements and equipment compatibility.
