Job summary

Firetrol seeks a Fire Sprinkler Designer to produce fire protection drawings and calculations for permitting and construction across healthcare, storage, assemblies, and mercantile facilities. Familiarity with AutoSprink and BIM (Navisworks) coordination is preferred.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ fire protection design experience, NFPA knowledge, and strong communication. You will perform hydraulic calculations, review drawings, coordinate with the Design Manager and field teams, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of fire protection design experience.
• Familiarity with NFPA 13, 14, 20, 22 and FM Global Standards.
• Technical understanding of wet, dry, preaction and deluge systems.
• AutoCAD experience and third party software training.

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection systems using provided drawings and specs.
• Perform hydraulic calculations as required.
• Review design drawings in detail before fabrication.
• Coordinate with Design Manager on schedules and permits.
• Attend site surveys, meetings, and coordinate with field foremen.
• Ensure submittals meet engineer requirements and fit in allocated space.
