Job summary

ActOne Group in Novi, MI is seeking a designer to design and layout water-based fire sprinkler systems, perform hydraulic calculations, and review project specifications and field survey information. The role supports projects from design through completion and collaborates with senior designers, sales, and field teams to ensure all designs meet codes and project requirements.

This is primarily an in-person role with hybrid flexibility for qualified candidates located farther from the office.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of NFPA 13.
• Experience with hydraulic calculations, field surveys, and system layouts.
• Experience with fire pumps, standpipes, healthcare, high-rise, or design-build projects is a plus.
• NICET certification preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
