Job summary

Chesapeake Fire Protection, with a branch in Ashburn, VA, seeks a Fire Sprinkler Designer to develop designs for commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects. You will ensure NFPA and local code compliance, review drawings, and prepare submittals and permit packages.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to produce accurate, constructible designs and maintain thorough documentation. NICET certification is preferred, with 2–5 years of experience in the field.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of fire sprinkler design experience on commercial, industrial or multi-family projects.
• Proficiency with CAD software and interpreting drawings and specs.
• Ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, and field teams to provide constructible designs.

Responsibilities

• Create fire sprinkler system designs including layouts, hydraulics, and material specs.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA standards and local codes.
