Job summary

Total Fire Protection in Alabama is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer / Project Manager to lead sprinkler installations from handoff to completion. You will design systems, review plans, perform hydraulic calculations, coordinate material and schedules, and support field crews.

The role requires knowledge of NFPA standards, ability to read drawings, and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and AutoSprink. NICET certification is preferred; PE license is a plus; travel to project sites may be

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in fire sprinkler design and/or project management.
Experience with hydraulic calculations and plan submissions to AHJs.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and AutoSprink.
NICET certification preferred; PE license a plus.

Responsibilities

Design fire sprinkler systems and prepare shop drawings and hydraulic calculations.
Review architectural and construction plans for sprinkler requirements and conflicts.
Coordinate material takeoffs and ordering.
Submit plans for permits and AHJ approval.
Coordinate project schedules, materials, installation crews, inspections, and testing.
Maintain accurate project records and as-built drawings.
Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, codes, and project specs.
Support field personnel and project closeout.
