Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-5 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Working experience with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Sprinkler Design Software, or equivalent sprinkler design software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings for sprinkler system placement.
• Interpret construction documents to support accurate system design.
• Apply NFPA standards to sprinkler design and layout.
• Design and layout sprinkler systems using CAD software based on AutoCAD.
• Coordinate sprinkler system piping with other building components.
• Perform hydraulic calculations to support system performance.
• Field checks of completed designs to verify accuracy before installation.
• Assist sales with design estimates as needed.
