Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Wilmington, NC is seeking a CAD designer to develop 3D models and drawings for fire safety systems, plumbing, and MEP coordination. You will follow OSHA standards, submit drawings for AHJ approvals, and collaborate with engineering teams.

The role requires a minimum two-year related degree, at least two years of CAD experience, and a meticulous eye for detail. You will analyze specifications, revise models, and stay current with materials and software advances.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year degree in related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of CAD software experience.
• Minimum 2 years working in a professional environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner.

Responsibilities

• Follow all OSHA standards and laws.
• Submit drawings for AHJ approval.
• Design of plumbing, as-built, site water supplies drawings and MEP coordination.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Provide accurate electrical schematics per client conditions and analyze specifications.
