Job summary

Impact Fire Services is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support fire protection projects under experienced leaders. You will assist with planning, coordination, procurement, cost tracking, and closeout, building a strong foundation for a long-term career.

This hands-on role offers exposure to field operations, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and schedules, with mentorship from Project Managers, Foremen, and Coordinators.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in construction or project coordination.
  • Prior fire sprinkler experience is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; quick learner of company systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good work ethic, professional appearance, and teamwork.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Interest in construction, mechanical systems, or fire protection.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with day-to-day planning, coordination, and documentation.
  • Ensure field teams have current drawings, RFIs, submittals, and schedules.
  • Assist with permits, vendor pricing, material deliveries, and fabrication releases.
  • Help track costs, labor, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings, coordination efforts, and closeout activities.

Our Fire Sprinkler Projects Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager who is motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to grow. In this hands-on role, you’ll work alongside experienced Project Managers, Foremen, and Coordinators to support fire protection projects from start to finish. You’ll gain exposure to planning, field operations, procurement, financial tracking, and closeout building a strong foundation for long-term career growth.

Job Summary:

This position supports the planning and execution of fire protection projects under the guidance of experienced project and field leaders. The Assistant Project Manager helps ensure assigned projects stay organized, documented, and moving forward by assisting with coordination, communication, procurement, cost tracking, and closeout activities. This role is designed to build the technical, operational, and administrative skills needed for long-term success in project management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers with day-to-day planning, coordination, and documentation.

Job Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or a related environment.
  • Prior fire sprinkler experience is a plus.
  • Competency with the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn the Company's information systems applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and professional appearance.
  • The ability to fit in with our culture of teamwork.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Interest in construction, mechanical systems, or fire protection.
