Job summary

Wiginton Fire Systems in Fort Myers, FL, seeks Fire Sprinkler Apprentices for a fully paid, on-site program. You will learn installation, service, and repair of commercial systems while earning as you learn.

No prior sprinkler experience is required; 18+ and a valid driver’s license are expected. The apprenticeship includes company-paid tuition, paid on-the-job training, and mentorship, with clear paths into leadership roles after completing certification.

Qualifications

  • No previous fire sprinkler experience required.
  • At least 18 years old; HS diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Mechanically inclined with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Install fire sprinkler piping and components. Read blueprints and job drawings.
  • Safely use hand and power tools. Assist with inspections, testing, and repairs.
  • Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment.
  • Work safely on construction sites and in occupied buildings.
  • Follow company safety policies and industry standards.
  • Build knowledge to become a licensed Fire Sprinkler Journeyman.

What You\'ll Do

As a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice, you\'ll work alongside experienced technicians and foremen while learning the installation, service, and repair of commercial fire sprinkler systems.

You'll learn how to:

  • Install fire sprinkler piping and components.
  • Read blueprints and job drawings.
  • Safely use hand and power tools.
  • Assist with inspections, testing, and repairs.
  • Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment.
  • Work safely on construction sites and in occupied buildings.
  • Follow company safety policies and industry standards.
  • Build the knowledge and skills needed to become a licensed Fire Sprinkler Journeyman.

Required Qualifications
  • At least 18 years old
