Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking motivated individuals for an Apprenticeship in sprinkler system installation. You will assist with wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems, learn safety policies, and maintain accurate work documentation.

Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and be able to work with others. English communication skills are required, with on-site training at our Johnson City facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to jobsite and training.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Capable of performing essential apprenticeship activities with accommodations if needed.
• English communication skills, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist foreman in the installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Follow safety policies and maintain documentation for work performed.
• Carry/move equipment up to 70lbs and perform physical labor.
• Work in unusual positions and on ladders/scaffolding.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Learn quickly and participate in Grinnell's Apprenticeship Program.
