The role supervises and evaluates student performance during practical skill sessions and examinations in alignment with OSFM and NFPA standards. Responsibilities include administering live skill assessments, ensuring safety standards, providing feedback, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• OSFM Fire Service Instructor II certification or equivalent, as required.
• Certification in evaluated courses by OSFM or equivalent state agency.
• An associate degree with relevant professional experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate student performance during practical skill sessions and examinations.
• Administer and evaluate live skill assessments for OSFM and NFPA aligned courses.
• Ensure all training and evaluation activities meet NFPA 1403, OSFM, and Harper College safety standards.
• Provide clear feedback and performance documentation for student skills and evaluations.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of training props and equipment.
• Collaborate with instructors and academy staff to ensure consistent evaluation criteria and student support.
• Maintain accurate records of skill completion and attendance per department and OSFM guidelines.
• Serve as a professional role model emphasizing safety, teamwork, and professionalism.
