Job summary

Georgia State Government invites applications for the GPSTC Instructor 3 role to coordinate and deliver Fire Instructor Series training within the Fire & Emergency Services Section.

The incumbent will engage in needs assessment, program design and statewide evaluation while upholding teamwork and superior customer service. A high school diploma or GED and 5+ years fire service/instructional experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience with a fire service agency with one year of work experience as an instructor providing training development and delivery in various Fire‑Service related topics.
• Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint is required.
• Must possess or obtain Georgia P.O.S.T. instructor certification within 6 months of hire, and any other specialty instructor certification applicable to the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and instruct in the Center’s Fire Instructor Series, Fire & Emergency Services Section.
• Participate in needs assessment, research, design and evaluation of statewide public safety training programs.
• Demonstrate teamwork and a high degree of customer service.
