Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Project Manager to lead mid-to-high priority fire-related projects from planning to closeout in Totowa, NJ. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and customer expectations with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of project management experience in security or new construction.
• Working knowledge of fire alarm systems and installation workflows.
• Ability to travel as needed, including daily and overnight travel (>25%).

Responsibilities

• Lead fire and security project delivery from initiation through closeout.
• Define scope, identify risks, set priorities, and support local project office setup.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate with customers, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and management.
• Monitor progress, expenditures, and forecast trends; adjust plans as needed.
• Track financials and support project accounting using standard methodology.
• Conduct inspections and ensure workmanship meets quality standards.
• Prepare updates and reports for stakeholders and customers.
• Support issue resolution and ensure timely project closure.
