Johnson Controls is headquartered in Totowa, New Jersey, and seeks a Fire Project Manager to lead mid to large projects focused on fire-related delivery. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and customer expectations while coordinating with internal teams, customers, and field resources.

Responsibilities include overseeing project plans, risk management, financial tracking, and successful closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or equivalent work experience with at least five years.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in security or new construction.
• Knowledge of fire alarm systems, installation workflows, and field delivery.
• Ability to travel as needed, including daily and overnight travel (~25%).

Responsabilités

• Lead fire and security project delivery from initiation through closeout.
• Define scope, identify risks, set priorities, and support local project office setup.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate with customers, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and management.
• Monitor progress, expenditures, forecast trends, and adjust plans.
• Track financial performance and support project accounting using PMI-based methods.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure workmanship meets quality expectations.
• Prepare updates and reports for internal stakeholders and customers.
• Support issue resolution and ensure projects close on time and in scope.
