Baker Group is seeking a pre-apprentice to support a range of unskilled tasks under the supervision of journeymen in a field setting in Des Moines, IA. Duties include material handling, staging, delivering tools and equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, basic math, the ability to read a tape measure, and a valid driver’s license. A drug test and background check are required; union affiliation may be pursued as an entry-level

Responsibilities

• Clean work area (pick up trash, sweep, organize) and restock supplies and materials
• Deliver tools, materials or equipment
• Stage materials
• Clean company vehicles
• Accurate daily time and equipment reporting
