Job summary

Alloy Enterprises is seeking a Fire & Security Design Engineer to provide technical design support across Fire and/or Security projects during the delivery phase. The role operates in a hybrid environment with 2 days per week in the office and involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, installers and customers to ensure compliant, practical designs aligned to client requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Fire and/or Security post-design engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design support across Fire and/or Security projects during the delivery phase.
• Review and develop design information to support successful project execution.
• Ensure designs and technical documentation comply with relevant standards, specifications and customer requirements.
• Support compliance with BS5839-1 and other applicable industry standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Installers, customers and other stakeholders to resolve technical queries.
• Review, coordinate and implement design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce and update technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support the production of as-built drawings and project handover documentation.
• Attend project meetings and site visits to support design delivery and resolve technical issues.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting agreed deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve design quality, efficiency and project delivery.
• Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
