Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Security Service Technician in the Dayton, OH area to independently service and maintain intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with codes and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, using hand tools and testing equipment, documenting work, and communicating with customers and colleagues.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Ohio Fire Alarm License preferred; willing to obtain license.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work safely.
• Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
