Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Security Service Technician to independently service and maintain security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, and CCTV. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with codes and customer requirements.

The position involves traveling to job sites, reading blueprints, and documenting work while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
