  • Texas Commission of Fire Protection certifications (or IFSAC equivalents) such as Fire Instructor 2, Fire Officer 1, and Fire Fighter I/II.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches Fire Science Technology courses at various times and locations based on institutional needs.
  • Develops and uses syllabi for courses within guidelines and uses diverse teaching methods.
  • Evaluates student progress and communicates results in a timely manner.
  • Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
  • Provides office hours and responds to student inquiries.
  • Engages in professional development and institutional service as directed by the Dean.
