Job summary

EFI Global is a full-service engineering and investigative firm seeking an entry-level fire investigator to assist in determining origin, cause and responsibility. You will support fire scene examinations, evidence handling, witnesses interviews and reporting under experienced supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration with engineers and clients, with opportunities for professional certification and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Science and/or Fire Arson Explosion Investigation or related major preferred.
• CFEI certification or must attain within six months of employment; IAAI-FIT preferred.
• Entry level fire investigation position.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fire Investigators and Engineers in conducting fire scene examinations safely and professionally.
• Secure fire scenes to prevent spoliation; remove debris and reconstruct scenes as needed.
• Identify and collect evidence for testing and storage; document and photograph scenes and evidence.
• Interview witnesses and gather public records; communicate progress to clients.
• Conduct research and testing; prepare written reports with findings supported by evidence.
