Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a physical/biological/environmental science or related field, or equivalent training/experience.
• Experience in firefighting, fire inspection, technical rescue or hazardous materials is highly desirable.
• Ability to work evenings/nights and weekends as needed.
• Specific jobs may require additional training/licensing on selection.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the university’s fire alarm testing program and inspect buildings in an assigned zone.
• Respond to fires and hazardous materials incidents and advise stakeholders on safety.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff and students to promote campus safety.
