Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Fire Safety Assessor to support the commissioning program and ongoing operations at Hinkley Point C. You will conduct fire risk assessments, DSEAR reviews, and provide expert safety guidance on compliance and mitigation strategies.

The role is full-time, onsite at Hinkley Point C, with potential for occasional home working. You will work in a regulated nuclear environment, collaborating with a specialist team to uphold the highest fire safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out fire risk assessments within industrial or highly regulated environments.
• Ability to identify, evaluate and mitigate risk in fire safety assessments.
• Knowledge of fire safety legislation, standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience engaging with stakeholders and providing professional fire safety advice.
• Experience in nuclear, energy, defence or other highly regulated sectors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fire risk assessments across site operations and commissioning areas.
• Perform DSEAR assessments, including battery-related evaluations.
• Advise stakeholders on fire safety compliance, controls and risk mitigation.
• Support development and maintenance of fire safety standards and documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams and fire safety specialists to promote best practice.
