Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficient in data analysis tools, Excel, and interpreting data for chemical engineering applications.
• Experience applying chemical engineering knowledge to safety of hazardous materials, flammables, and toxic materials.
• Ability to write clear, persuasive technical reports, letters, and documents.
• Experience planning, scheduling, and budgeting projects to meet client requirements.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to clients and funding agencies.
• Leadership experience in managing projects, research teams, and collaborations.
• Ability to adapt to different industries and public funding agency contexts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property loss control surveys to evaluate exposures at client facilities per NFPA Standards.
• Develop recommendations based on standards, including loss estimates before and after implementation.
• Evaluate automatic fire protection and water supply systems.
• Report and evaluate building construction, occupancy, special and natural hazards.
• Develop loss estimates from scenarios such as Maximum Foreseeable Loss.
• Provide services including training, loss control program development, and code/regulatory interpretation.
• Provide project management including visits, plan reviews, and oral/written client presentations.
• Participate in advanced training to enhance knowledge and skills.
