Job summary

ServiceMaster of South Shore Inc. in Hoquiam, WA is seeking a Fire Restoration Technician to monitor, inspect and complete restoration tasks including drying, demolition, and pack-out of contents.

You will prepare documentation for insurance reimbursement and explain processes to customers in person using printed materials as a guide. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent; restoration experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in restoration or construction preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves work orders and ensures equipment and supplies are loaded for each job.
• Explain processes to customers and provide next steps with printed materials as guidance.
• Complete assigned jobs with quality control and urgency.
• Perform fire/smoke damage repair, water extraction, packing out contents, and light demolition as directed.
• Ensure proper handling of equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Inspect jobs after completion, obtain signatures, and request payments when needed.
• Adjust the drying plan daily based on meter readings.
• Resolve customer issues and communicate activity to supervisor and staff.
• Prepare documentation and photos for insurance reimbursement.
