Job summary

Recru in Texas is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to support the design and development of industrial fire pump packages. This role centers on 3D modeling, equipment packaging, and mechanical layout using Autodesk Inventor to ramp up on fire-pump assemblies and workflows.

You will produce detailed models, layouts, drawings, BOMs, and specifications, collaborating with project teams to ensure accuracy, codes, and internal standards while managing multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Autodesk Inventor experience (non-negotiable).
• Mechanical design experience in industrial, manufacturing, pump systems, or related environments.
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and mechanical layouts for fire pump packages and related assemblies.
• Produce system layouts, drawings, schematics, and production documentation using Autodesk Inventor.
• Perform mechanical design calculations and ensure accuracy across all deliverables.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs and specifications support.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and cross-disciplinary teams to develop coordinated designs.
• Review drawings for correctness, constructability, and alignment with codes and internal standards.
• Provide recommendations on equipment selection, layout feasibility, and product application.
• Support design revisions, document control, and design-tracking processes.
