St Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a Facilities Technician focused on Fire Protection systems. You will inspect, test, install and repair fire protection equipment, ensure NFPA compliance, and file inspection reports.

You will work under the Facilities Manager, mentor junior staff, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with vendors. We seek licensed professionals with relevant experience to keep life-safety systems reliable.

Competenze

• 3 years working on commercial Fire Protection systems required.
• Valid CT F-2 Fire Protection License or L-6 Low Voltage Electrical License required.
• Trade school graduate or other related training preferred.
• 5 years working on commercial Fire Protection systems preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Advanced knowledge NFPA 13, 25 & 72.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and DPH fire safety rules.
• Ability to read prints, schematics and diagrams.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; ability to learn additional software.

Mansioni

• Inspections and tests all Fire Protection systems to NFPA standards.
• Installation, maintenance and repair of Fire Protection systems.
• Completes and files inspection reports to comply with NFPA standards.
• Vendor management - coordinates repairs and maintenance.
• Submit estimates of material and labor for projects.
• Respond to hospital emergencies (fire/safety/medical).
• Attend and complete required training and licensure.
• Teach and mentor new Facilities Techs.
• Perform other related duties as required.
