Job summary

Rutherford Borough is seeking a Fire Protection Subcode Official for a part-time role (10 hrs per week). You will administer the fire protection sub-code of the State Uniform Construction Code and inspect ongoing construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications.

Applicants must hold a Fire Protection Sub-code Official License and a Fire Protection Inspector License issued by the NJ Department of Community Affairs, and possess a New Jersey Driver’s License. EOE.

Fire Protection Subcode Official - Rutherford Borough.

Part-time Position (10 hrs. per week – Salary $26,202 annually). Duties include administering the fire protection sub-code of the State Uniform Construction Code; inspections of construction projects underway to ensure that compliance with plans and specifications for fire protection are approved in accord with the State Uniform Construction Code. Applicants must possess a Fire Protection Sub-code Official License and a Fire Protection Inspector License issued by the NJ Department of Community Affairs; NJ Driver’s License required.
