Summit Fire Protection in Madison, WI is seeking a Shop Technician – Shop to receive materials, store them, pick items, and move and transport items from the warehouse. The role includes occasional local deliveries and ensuring inventory accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, forklift certification, and a year of fire life safety experience; knowledge of Sage 300 CRE or Salesforce is a plus and the ability to work outdoors as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year Fire Life Safety Industry experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or experience required.
• Inventory control experience preferred.
• Efficient time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and collaboration with all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials and store materials in warehouse.
• Pick items and move/transport items outside of warehouse.
• Occasional local deliveries of extinguishers and cabinets.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop and holding areas.
• Identify and inspect received inventory; verify labels.
• Operate company vehicles as assigned and transport items via truck.
