Job summary

Mullins Mechanical & Welding, Llc is seeking a Fire Protection Project Manager to oversee and drive fire protection projects from initiation to completion. You will coordinate field technicians, liaise with clients, ensure code compliance, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of fire protection systems, proven project management experience, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in the fire protection industry, focusing on sprinkler systems.
• Proven project management experience in a service-focused environment.
• NICET Level II+ in Water-Based Systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects, including new installations and retrofits to existing buildings.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, technicians, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, track progress and performance.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, AHJ regulations, and company safety standards.
• Coordinate material procurement, subcontractor scheduling, and field service dispatch.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions for system deficiencies.
• Support sales by identifying opportunities and providing recommendations.
• Ensure timely billing and assist with resolving invoicing discrepancies.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in business development through sales calls, networking, and market awareness.
• Conduct site surveys to determine customer needs and provide technical education.
• Provide training on new systems as they are introduced.
• Attend annual continuing education classes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
