Qualifications

• Knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems
• Strong understanding of life safety requirements
• Ability to read and interpret plans, codes, and standards
• Effective communication with designers, builders, and inspectors
• Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets
• Experience interfacing with authorities having jurisdiction

Responsibilities

• Oversee fire detection and suppression system projects from planning to completion
• Develop project plans and schedules within budget
• Review site designs to determine fire protection requirements
• Monitor installation with regular site visits and provide guidance
• Advise designers and construction personnel on fire protection methods
• Review documents to ensure compliance with codes and standards
• Interface with authorities having jurisdiction for permits and inspections
• Manage multiple projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, engineers, estimators, and field staff
• Participate in weekly project meetings, onsite or online
• Develop submittal packages for review and permitting
• Manage project documentation and change orders
• Perform other duties as assigned
