Job summary
Wiley|Wilson, a 100% employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Project Engineer to join our team in Richmond, VA. You will provide technical leadership in the design and analysis of fire protection systems for federal, municipal, university, and industrial clients.
You will work with senior engineers to prepare narratives, reports, specifications, and drawings, mentor junior engineers, and travel to project locations to gather essential
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- P.E. license or ability to obtain licensure.
- Eligible to work in the United States and obtain a security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Apply experience in designing fire alarm, fire suppression, and passive fire protection systems.
- Produce analyses, calculations, and design deliverables.
- Prepare project narratives, reports, specifications, and drawings using Revit and hydraulic tools.
- Coordinate with senior engineers and other disciplines on design direction and reviews.
- Travel to project sites for information gathering to ensure designs meet requirements.
- Review shop drawings and participate in construction administration.
