Job summary

Wiley|Wilson, an employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, seeks a Fire Protection Project Engineer for our Richmond, VA team. You will lead design efforts for active and passive fire protection, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities include analyses, calculations, and producing specifications using Revit and hydraulic software. Travel to project sites is expected to meet client requirements and maintain high quality standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Minimum 6 years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer license with fire protection exam.
• Eligible to work in the United States and obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
• Perform code analyses and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Prepare design deliverables: reports, calculations, specs, drawings.
• Mentor junior engineers and support senior staff.
• Travel to project locations for data gathering and site validation.
• Review shop drawings and assist construction administration.
