Job summary

Wiley|Wilson seeks an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our Richmond, VA team. You will lead design of fire alarm and suppression systems, ensure compliance with codes, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

The role involves developing narratives, reports, specifications, and drawings, using Revit and hydraulic software, with travel to project sites as needed. A PE and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 4 years of fire protection engineering experience.
• P.E. licensed with NCEES fire protection exam.
• Eligible to work in the United States and able to obtain security clearance.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
• Coordinate active/passive fire protection with other disciplines.
• Prepare reports, calculations, specifications, and drawings using Revit and hydraulic software.
• Review shop drawings and support construction administration.
• Travel to project locations for site information gathering.
