Job summary

Primary Talent Partners has an opening for an Electrical Engineering Professional in Tempe, AZ. This 5-month contract involves Fire Protection/Life Safety systems design, 3D BIM modeling, and client-facing responsibilities.

You will design fire protection systems, interface with code officials, and contribute to mid-to-large-scale project estimates and schedules using AutoCAD and Revit MEP. PE licensure is preferred or achievable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with ability to attain PE licensure.
• At least 4 years of AutoCAD design experience.
• Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA101 Life Safety Code and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
• Knowledge and application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design requirements
• Knowledge and application of NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials Code
• Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems and manufacturers’ equipment, including VESDA systems
• Design experience with Fire Alarm, VESDA systems, security CCTV, HPM and Leak Detection
• Knowledge of design and construction specifications
• Experience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large-scale projects

Responsibilities

• Provide code-compliant asset protection and fire life safety mitigation solutions.
• Take ownership of projects as the engineer of record.
• Work on fire protection systems including sprinklers and detectors.
• Interface with clients and local code officials.
• Create 3D BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Produce calculations, equipment sizes, specs, and construction deliverables in 2D and 3D.
