Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and the ability to attain PE licensure.
• At least 4 years of AutoCAD design experience.
• Knowledge and application of IFC, IBC, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design requirements, NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials Code.
• Knowledge of fire alarm systems and manufacturers’ equipment, including VESDA systems.
• Design experience with fire alarm, VESDA systems, security CCTV, HPM, and leak detection.
• Experience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large-scale projects.

Using AutoCAD and Revit MEP, you’ll coordinate 2D and 3D models with architects and engineers and produce calculations, equipment sizes and quantities, specifications, network diagrams, and construction deliverables. You’ll work with client counterparts, state and local code officials, coworkers, and senior design professionals while taking ownership of projects as the engineer of record. PAY: $48.00/hr - $75.00/hr DOE LOCATION: Tempe, AZ WORK TYPE: Hybrid SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
