Job summary

TSMC is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support Design and Construction, ensuring that Fire Alarm and Fire Protection Systems meet safety codes. This role involves developing operational procedures, working with internal and external teams, and ensuring compliance with NFPA standards.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in fire protection or related engineering field, and experience in fire protection systems. The position is onsite in San Jose, California.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection industry standards and procedures.
• Ability to read and understand construction documents.
• Experience in design engineering or construction related to fire protection.

Responsibilities

• Develops Maintenance and Operational procedures for FPS/FAS/HGMS systems.
• Works closely with technicians to address deficiencies.
• Evaluates insourcing vs outsourcing opportunities.

Skills

Knowledge of NFPA standards

Understanding of local codes

Effective communication skills

Proficiency in MS Excel

Education

Bachelor’s degree in fire protection or related field
