Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Fire Protection Inspector to join our engineering team in Portland, Oregon. This permanent role focuses on inspecting and maintaining fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years' experience and NICET Level 2 certification, with strong diagnostics and customer service skills. You'll travel to sites across the region, perform preventive maintenance, document activities, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• NICET Level 2 certification is required.
• Experience with fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, inspection and testing, preventative maintenance, life safety systems, backflow prevention, technical documentation, and safety inspections.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure longevity and reliability of systems.
• Inspect and maintain life safety systems and backflow prevention devices.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation of inspection and maintenance activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to client queries promptly.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system faults and carry out repairs or replacements.
• Travel to various sites for field service work.
• Conduct safety inspections and identify hazards to eliminate them.
