  • Change Order Management: Communicate with site foremen to track and process change orders promptly, including regular follow-up with General Contractors (GC) and Construction Managers (CM) for updates.
  • Coordination and Communication: Work closely with Designers to submit RFIs as needed and maintain continual communication with the GC/CM, providing regular status updates.
  • Safety and Compliance: Perform weekly safety walkthroughs and site safety audits, documenting completion. Ensure weekly toolbox talks are completed and submitted to the Safety Manager.
  • Project Meetings: Attend and participate in weekly jobsite meetings, communicating outcomes with the job designer and project team.
  • Billing and Documentation: Collect timesheets from field personnel, perform monthly billing updates, and coordinate the submission of required job closeout documentation.
  • Permits and Approvals: Submit necessary documentation and applications for construction permits as required, and maintain communication and coordination with fire marshals, including drawings and testing.
  • Resource Management: Oversee weekly project manpower scheduling and manage material/equipment ordering and oversight for jobs, in coordination with designers and shop coordinators.
  • WIP/CTC Updates: Assist in the preparation of monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) and Cost-To-Complete (CTC) updates for assigned jobs.
  • Turnover Meetings: Attend turnover meetings with sales and design personnel for new jobs to ensure a smooth transition from planning to execution.
  • Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in fire protection estimating and project management or a similar field in construction.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or greater is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of fire protection systems and applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA). Proficiency in estimating software, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems independently.
  • Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver’s license is required.
