Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Orlando to assist lead engineers with project duties, apply standard engineering techniques, and update designs. The role spans markets like Global Facilities, with responsibilities across facility design, data centers, and manufacturing spaces.

Our Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned.

The Global Facilities group is responsible for the planning and design of manufacturing facilities, district energy systems, data centers and mission-critical facilities. This includes work across diverse industries, including aerospace, space and defense, food and beverage, life sciences and technology, consumer products, healthcare and advanced manufacturing, guiding projects from site selection through startup.
