Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Orlando to assist lead engineers with project duties, apply standard engineering techniques, and update designs. The role spans markets like Global Facilities, with responsibilities across facility design, data centers, and manufacturing spaces.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Fire Protection Engineering or related fields, have strong communication and problem-solving skills, and show leadership and self-motivation.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a related post-secondary program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus/community involvement.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties and design updates.
• Contribute to design of engineering systems for various markets.
