Job Title: Fire Protection Engineer (TS)

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting facilities design, construction, and renovation projects with professional expertise.
• Coordinating with project managers, personnel, and contractors.
• Developing reports and studies, resolving issues with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Implementing standards as per the Program of Requirements (POR).
• Managing project design from programming to post-occupancy.
• Reviewing proposals, performing design reviews, and ensuring standards compliance using NFPA and IBC codes.
• Possessing knowledge of the Life Safety Code (NFPA 101), Means of Egress Systems.
• Reviewing vendor shop drawings and equipment submittals for sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
• Reviewing sprinkler hydraulic calculations and fire pump performance curves.
• Suggesting protection levels when strict code compliance is unachievable.
• Inspecting facilities for deficiencies in Means of Egress, Sprinkler Systems, Fire Alarms, and other safety systems.
• Acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in meetings and site surveys.
• Testing Fire and Life Safety Systems during inspections.
• Providing onsite measurements and verifications.
