Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our Fire Protection & Life Safety team. You will design fire suppression and alarm systems for complex facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant and resilient solutions.

You will work on data centers and critical infrastructure, using Revit and CFD tools, while coordinating with PMs and clients through project delivery and site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ME/EE/Fire Protection engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience including fire protection systems design.
• PE license in Fire Protection discipline.
• Proficiency in Revit for fire protection drawings.
• Familiarity with NFPA, IBC and local fire codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire suppression system layouts.
• Perform hydraulic calculations.
• Develop fire alarm system drawings.
• Prepare construction documents.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams.
• Use Revit and related design tools.
• Review codes and standards.
• Support permitting and construction phases.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure compliant, efficient solutions.
• Participate in site visits and QA reviews.
