IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support Defense, Intelligence, and National Security missions in Virginia and Maryland. You will design and review fire protection and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA, UFC, and agency requirements.
Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Fire Protection Engineering, a PE license, and at least 5 years of experience, with familiarity in secure, mission-critical facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or closely related field.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a fire protection engineer.
Responsabilités
- Design, review, and evaluate fire protection and life safety systems.
- Perform fire hazard analyses and code compliance reviews.
- Apply NFPA, IBC, UFC, and agency requirements to projects.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and leadership.
- Review construction documents for fire protection compliance.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, AHJs.
- Prepare reports, design analyses, and recommendations.
- Support emergency planning and continuity of operations.
