Job summary

DLH Corp is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support design reviews, inspections, and site investigations across multiple buildings. The role emphasizes life safety, NFPA codes, and a hybrid on-site/remote schedule.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field, 2+ years of experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of general experience in fire protection.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural/engineering designs and fire protection system shop drawings for over 50 buildings.
• Conduct construction inspections and issue final occupancy permits.
• Witness acceptance tests for fire alarm and sprinkler system modifications.
• Evaluate life safety and hazard analysis surveys of existing buildings.
• Provide technical guidance using NFPA codes.

Basic Compensation: $105,000 - $110,000 yearly salary

The salary range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The final offer may vary based on skills, experience, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
