Job summary

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics-Greenville is seeking an experienced Fire Prevention Inspector to perform inspections and related duties to protect assets from fire and other hazards. You will stay current on NFPA codes and promote fire-safety awareness through education and drills.

The role emphasizes maintaining safe facilities, enforcing codes, and coordinating with authorities, insurers, and DCMA representatives as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building fire code enforcement experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA and local fire codes.
• Ability to identify hazards and enforce compliance.
• Strong communication with internal teams and external agencies.
• Maintain detailed logs and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and enforce fire and life-safety codes in facilities.
• Audit support for authorities and underwriters.
• Verify exits, doors and egress routes are unobstructed.
• Review storage practices for fire-code compliance.
• Manage fire-extinguisher program per NFPA 10.
• Plan and execute evacuation drills.
• Coordinate with contracted fire-prevention services.
• Record-keeping of inspections and hazards.
• Agency coordination during site visits.
• Provide safety advisement based on NFPA standards.
