Job summary

Cromwell Architects Engineers Inc is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to design and implement fire alarm and suppression systems within building projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers and builders to integrate life safety features across the construction phase.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection or related field and 5+ years of experience, with proficiency in fire protection design software and building codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in fire protection design software and knowledge of building codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fire alarm, fire suppression, and life safety systems.
• Prepare specifications based on design and review drawings for plans and specs.
• Analyze potential fire hazards in buildings and new designs with recommended improvements.
• Ensure all fire protections systems meet local, state, and federal fire codes; travel 10% to sites.
