Job summary

Wiley|Wilson in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to lead design and analysis of active and passive fire protection systems for federal, municipal, university, and industrial clients. You will collaborate with senior engineers, prepare narratives, reports, and drawings, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires a BS in engineering (ABET), at least 4 years in fire protection, PE with NCEES fire protection exam, and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
Minimum 4 years of experience in the fire protection engineering industry.
A registered professional engineer (P.E.) who has passed the NCEES-administered fire protection engineering exam.
Eligible to work in the United States and obtain a security clearance.
Intrinsically motivated and collaborative, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Apply design experience to active and passive fire protection systems and codes.
Prepare narrative, reports, specifications, and drawings with BIM tools.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
Travel to project sites for information gathering and validation.
Review drawings and participate in construction administration.
